What do you want to see from Animal Crossing Direct?

Image: Nintendo Life

OK. Animal Crossing: I got Brewster and Roost in New Horizons. Year Of those who ask. So we’re all completely happy and now we’re happy, right?

of course not. Brewster was just the beginning.. New Horizons still has a lot of features, many of which are from the previous game, New Leaf. Celebrating the game’s first birthday, and dating back to April 2020, we described the missing / required features within a month of its launch.that is yet It’s not a game.

So … what else do you want to see in New Horizons? What brings us back to our neglected island? And almost two years after its release, what are we still working on? Let’s get in …

Brewster Roost Upgrade

I know I have The Roost, but I don’t know what it is. meaning yet. Bird Run Cafe is next to the art gallery in the museum, is it the same as New Reef? At 3DS Animal Crossing, after ordering coffee several times, I was able to work at a cafe and then participate in a small mini-game that served coffee to the islanders. It was a little tricky game. You had to use a guide if you wanted to get it right, but players will definitely want to incorporate it into the game.

Although New Horizons placed the KK slider in the Plaza instead, there was also the option to watch a concert with the KK slider in Wildworld and Cityfolk. But what if it rains? Poor KK.

But what if you dream a little bigger? How about something New arrival At a cafe? Maybe Brewster can hold seminars, TED talks, or … poetry nights. Maybe the cafe will turn into a bar at night (almost none given Nintendo’s family-friendly atmosphere). Perhaps given the new location of Roost, it could have something to do with the museum itself!

Or how about …

Gyroid

Gyroid. Roost was once closely associated with gyroids, and Brewster provided storage, exhibited in cafes, and even Himself Gyroid. Does the addition of The Roost mean a resurgence of everyone’s favorite wavy bores? I’m sure I hope so.

The gyroids of the time were haunted by small statues that could be dug out. When I “activated” the gyroid, each made a different sound. In old games, they were kind of … singing a bit with any music you were playing. Imagine installing them around the KK sliders in the square on Saturday!

Mr. Resetti, Gracie, Dr. Schrank, Wendell, and other special characters

Animal Crossing New Horizons Reset

Past games have included a number of characters, most of which were involved in Isabel or Tom Nook in New Horizons. Of course, I know Mr. Resetti is lurking because he runs an ambulance crew and there is a small statue in the game, but that’s not the same.

New Horizons doesn’t have as many visitors as it used to. What about fashion-focused giraffe Gracie, or a scary faceless cat? Blanka?? Perhaps you can meet Happy Home Academy employees such as Digby, Lyle, and Lottie and bribe them to increase their HHA points. Or Katrina, Fortune-teller, Dr. Schrank, Strange Psychiatrist, Wendell, Walrus for Pattern Sales, Pete, Philis, Perry’s Postal Worker, Booker and Copper Cop, Harriet’s Hair Stylist, and more … Joan, Daisy A walrus selling a cub that has been replaced by Mei? What happened to Nintendo and Joan?

But above all, I want to meet Kappei. Not only because we love the old Chap, but because his appearance on the pier means that he may be taken to a new adventure.

Swap 100 zipper T. Bunny for a glimpse of old buddies.

Other multiplayer activities and mini games

Tortimer Island

It’s great to be able to visit fellow islands far away during this pandemic, but LORDY feels like pulling his teeth through a myriad of loading screens. Nintendo’s online multiplayer has never been its strength. The company seems to prioritize its cute in-space loading animation and long conversations with Orville over speed.

But in the end, it would be nice to have more to do with the people you were told. Currently we are pretty limited to visiting each other’s islands online, and it’s only fun for a while. We want to have some experience, adventure, and games as a pair or group.

Animal Crossing New Reef’s Tortimer Island was limited to that one small island, but it was a lot of fun. However, I was able to easily rope to a few friends and catch lucrative fish and insects, so I was able to make money. A fun experience.

The May Day Maze event featuring Rover’s Return has been one of our favorite events so far (although I love Halloween and Toy Day). Expansion of that theme is welcome.

Batch craft

Make fish-feeding animals across the new horizon

Please. please.. We have already said our work about this enough times.

This is also true when buying things — buy all your accessories instead of buying them one by one in the dressing room.

Repeated reduction

“You caught the sea bass! No, wait — it’s at least C +!”
“You caught the sea bass! No, wait — it’s at least C +!”
“You caught the sea bass! No, wait — it’s at least C +!”

Nintendo, just throw us into the ocean to drown. Adding some options to the dialogs you plan to see a lot isn’t too difficult. The same is true for Mystery Island. In particular, some island types do not fail. Tickets are expensive to buy and So It takes time to use.

Also, let’s cheer up the villagers a little. I’m a little tired of hearing one story about the Maglevs in Love soap opera.

More creatures to catch

After catching fish bugs and ultimately deep-sea creatures for almost two years, many players have now completed Critterpedia to catch all the creatures in the game. When the museum was completed and diving was added, it gave us something new for a while. Is it possible to add another new way to catch creatures in the game?

As explained earlier, like Professor Orc of Pokemon games, filling out Critterpedia allows new special NPCs to come to town and talk about all the rare, legendary, and even mythical creatures. .. You need to catch it. Or it could be a new type of leaf or flower that attracts new insects, or a new item where you can discover something you couldn’t see before.

And if we’re really pitch black about it … what about a new place full of rare exotic insects and fish? Please tell me a good reason to own a bagnet and a fishing rod again!

Ability to change resident representatives

Permanent representative

It may have taken some time, but Nintendo eventually updated the game to allow you to transfer islands to a new switch using a special island transfer tool. If you are not an island representative, you can move individual players to other islands, but at this time you cannot switch island residents.

Residents have the ability to build new structures, move existing structures, repay mortgages, and generally make town decisions. No one you share an island can do those things without the help of a person in charge.

If you have kids, partners who stop playing games, or roommates who don’t live with you, this will be a problem after a while. Would you like to give us a little more freedom?

More convenient Isabel

Isabelle.900x

Listen, Iz, we love you, but … if you’re going to let us hear your morning breaking news every day please Please at least provide us with useful information. Is Redd in town? Does Gulliver need our help? Tell us what we really want to know!

More furniture

Come back to us, rococo
Come back to us, rococo

We have almost everything we’ve ever wanted. But collecting furniture is part of the reason for playing Animal Crossing … so is it okay to ask a little more? Some of us dream of a resurgence of the Rococo, Alpine, and Minimalist series … and most of us have the richness of pocket camp furniture (you can interact!). I’m looking at it as an envy.

Seasonal craft recipes, nook shopping options, and occasional brand partnerships (like the Sanrio collection) are welcome additions, but the slow torrent of unthemed furniture is free. too much Endure.

Unbreakable tool

What can I say more? Having to create multiple tools every day is very frustrating. Minecraft also has a repair feature. Shouldn’t the Golden Tool break anyway?

Shop upgrades and new shops

Remember this?
Remember this?

We want to revitalize the small island a little more. Kick got caught up in Able Sisters and the Leif store turned into a cart, so I’m wondering what else I can do. Do you remember New Leaf’s hairdresser / stylist? Sure, we can do it ourselves now, but it’s not exactly the same. Or what about Dr. Schrank’s weird nightclub?

A perfectly laid out town needs to be readjusted, but it’s worth spending more on it after paying off your mortgage.

cooking?

We’re already crafting … what about a little cooking mini-game? Like in real life, it has to do with all the fruits, fish and nuts we have, except for selling, making, accidentally eating and using the toilet. ..

More life

This is commonplace and touches on much of what I’ve already said … What we like about Animal Crossing is that it felt like a little life. New Horizons is very focused on the decorative aspects. This is good, but it is life It’s a little missing.

The villagers seem a little less interesting and don’t have much to do or interact with. No one will visit your home uninvited anymore (although that may be a good thing). Crafting, hairstyles and customization are all done by you, so there’s little reason to spend time in the city or with other characters. You are no longer the mayor of the entire town, but you actually talk to people Less than.. It’s a very lonely life.

Maybe the roost will change that … or maybe it won’t.

Reason to come back

Many of us really don’t know exactly what we want. I want a reason to return to the game after abandoning the game for some reason months ago.

Whether it’s a major upgrade, a game-changing addition, or the “more life” described above, what we want to see is what pulls us back. Brewster alone sadly doesn’t cut it for many.

We can only do what we want.

Are you still playing Animal Crossing on Switch? Would you like to return to the game with any of the above? Let us know in the comments below!
