We’re happy to have doubled the size of the studio to monopolize the story’s single-player Xbox.

The studio behind We HappyFew, Competition Games, says it has doubled the size of its latest project, a third-person story-driven single-player game.

During an interview with Xbox squad (As translated by VGC), Compulsion Games PR and community developer Naila Hadjas further talked about the studio’s recent expansion and future plans, saying: This is the first game with Microsoft and we’ve learned a lot. “

Microsoft Announced at E3 2018 Purchased Competition Games as part of a mass acquisition that included Forza Horizon developer Playground Games, State of Decay’s Undead Labs, and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice developer Ninja Theory. As a result, the new game will almost certainly be exclusive to Xbox and PC and will be released on Game Pass launch.

“We are doubling our workforce and adapting to it,” Hajas continues. “The goal is to expand our strange world and continue to make our mark in video games as a studio that likes to make unique games in settings that are rarely used. For now. That is our goal. Pursue our “heritage”, our heritage, while staying true to ourselves. “

Despite the current lack of details and official titles, Compulsion’s next game is reported to be in production just months after the release of We Happy Few. WeHappyFew started early access in 2016 and was fully released two years later. According to Hadjas, the new game is currently in “full development,” but PR and community developers also say they “do not know” when fans will be able to see it.

Unlike We Happy Few, the studio believes it is unlikely that an early access period will be required before a new project is fully launched. “I don’t think we need feedback on our new games, stories, third people, and story games,” says Hardjas. It’s fun. “

We Happy Few has a traditional story, but Hadjas states that it wasn’t the case at first, and that the story was only included after fans fell in love with the game world and its characters. In contrast, Hajas says the next game is a “story” and the team knows where it’s heading from the beginning. Currently, the next project of Compulsion Games has no release date yet.
