What are you thinking when you think Lord of the Rings‘The cunning jewelry hoarder grunts? Is it parkour? This is all parkour, isn’t it?
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum recently got a new trailer at E3, but in less than a minute, it mainly focused on the story and it didn’t let us know more about the game. Although this new trailer has a quite prominent PRE-ALPHA FOOTAGE warning at the top, it looks pretty good, with environments from Mirkwood, Moria and Mordor. The characters also include Sauron’s Mouth (he is speaking on Sauron’s behalf, not the real Sauron’s Pie Hole) and Thranduil, the Elf King of the Dark Forest and Legolas’ father.
And, yes, there is a lot of parkour. When Gollum tries to retrieve the ring (you know that), he will squirm, jump, climb, and climb. This is a story that the movie doesn’t really cover—the game itself is specifically based on a book license—but it covers Gollum’s adventures as he traces the Lord of the Rings from his cave, out of Bilbo, to Shire’s The journey, and from there, the events of the Lord of the Rings.
However, there is still no set release date. The last thing we heard was that the game was postponed from 2021 to 2022. But it will definitely land on Switch!
