The studio rumored to be remaking Metal Gear Solid 3 is working on a AAA remake

Employees of Virtuos, a studio rumored to be remaking Metal Gear Solid 3, confirmed that the developers are working on a remake of an unreleased AAA action-adventure game.

Discovered (and reported) by Twitter user Faizan Shaikh VGC), Virtuos lead programmer Zhiyang Li mentions his AAA remake. LinkedIn profile -It states that it has been working on the project since 2018.

According to Li’s role in the studio, remakes include “4K support on specific platforms,” ”AAA-quality art production,” and “destroy set pieces.” The game Li mentions isn’t clear yet, but earlier this month Konami plans to remaster the original Metal Gear Solid game for the new console and the possibility of a complete remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. A report has emerged that suggests that. Snake Eater is rumored to appear in Virtuos’s work.

As for Virtuos itself, there is no dispute that the studio is working on AAA games. Previously, the developers worked on the Dark Souls Remastered Nintendo Switch port, as well as Uncharted 4, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Outer Worlds, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Konami hasn’t yet announced official news of Metal Gear’s remake (outsourced or otherwise), but last month the studio revisited one of its beloved IPs with the release of the Castlevania Advanced Collection. Bundles including Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow have been released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Since its release, reports from the same source suggesting a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 also claimed that Castlevania’s “reimagination” was being developed by the internal Konami Studios.
