The start date of the EA Sports PGA Tour is delayed

The official Twitter account for the EA Sports PGA Tour announced today that the game has been postponed. We promise to have updates in the coming months.

“Golf fans, I would like to inform you that we are changing the start date of the EA Sports PGA Tour,” the tweet said. “We are pleased to bring you Championship Golf. We will provide more information about our launch plans in the coming months.”

EA first announced the title in March and was scheduled to be released in the spring of 2022. Called the “next generation” golf game, the title allows players to play the Masters, PGA Championship, US Open Championship, and British Open. This is the first title released as part of a New Deal between the EA and PGA Tour and the first new game to use that license since the 2015 Rory McIlroy PGA Tour.

You can challenge many professional golfers in this game, but you will not be able to play Tiger Woods because you have an exclusive contract with 2K for the PGA Tour 2K21 released in August. His contract with EA ended in 2013, resulting in the termination of Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour series.

With the exception of some shots of the courses it supports, EA hasn’t revealed most of the new PGA Tour games since its first announcement. It is advertised as a “next generation golf game” and the release date is undecided.
