The score of the Switch OLED model is 2 out of 10 in the durability scratch test on the screen.

Nintendo Switch OLED has been around for a few weeks now, and if you haven’t applied a screen protector yet, you’ll need to do so.

Nintendo claims that the screen is made of glass, but the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything Tested a new screen, but it has only 2/10 screen protection. This makes it as fragile as plastic.

“Unfortunately, we see level 3 scratches and deeper level 4 grooves, which means that this new OLED screen has a plastic surface layer.”

The switch contains a unique protective layer in the form of an “anti-scattering adhesive film”, which has little effect in normal everyday use, so a suitable screen protector should be used to minimize scratches. It is recommended to buy damage.

“The OLED screen is so soft that you can avoid putting it in situations where it could be damaged by coins, keys, or other metal objects.

“Nintendo, the screen itself is made of glass and feels very permanent. This plastic film is an anti-scattering adhesive layer that helps prevent glass shards from cluttering when the display shatters. And it’s probably a good thing to have. “

Nintendo also advises users not to remove this special protective layer. Again, if you haven’t yet avoided putting this new system in a situation where it can be scratched by sharp objects, get a screen protector.
