The last part of us, part 2 is getting an exclusive PS5 performance update

The second part of “The Last of Us” will receive an exclusive PS5 performance update, which will increase the already amazing game speed to 60 frames per second. The update is currently available for free. PS Blog, This update provides the option of 30 FPS or 60 FPS frame rate target. The new 1.08 patch will provide frame rate switching for PS5 players in the “Display Options” menu. Through backward compatibility, players on PS5 can already use other enhancements, such as resolution and load time improvements.

Digital castingAfter extensive testing of the patch, the report stated: “After the PS5 was released, the PS5 not only doubled the performance of the PS4 Pro, but in many cases can surpass it.” Even PS4 Pro may struggle with 30FPS. In areas where there is a lot of water, for example, the PS5 version is reported to be able to run at a locked speed of 60 frames. In the 8 hours of video captured, Digital Foundry found that a scene fell below 60 FPS or even 57 FPS due to unknown reasons, which is far beyond the capabilities of the previous generation of game consoles.

It is worth mentioning that, like “The Last of Us Remastered”, this is not a complete new generation of Remaster. However, Arne Meyer, Naughty Dog’s communications director, added: “Since its launch last year, the team has been studying the PS5 hardware and its unlocking possibilities, and we are confident in the future. This patch is only the first step in the work on PS5. When we have more news to share, we will notify you!”

Co-founder Neil Druckmann previously said that TLOU2 DLC has no plans yet, but the game has only undergone a few content updates before, increasing the permadeath mode and Grounded difficulty.

If the recent report is correct, then we may actually see the original PS5 version of “Our Last Moments” at some point. We also hope to see a standalone “Our Doomsday 2” multiplayer game in the future. However, the uncertainty of a project-Part 3 of “Our Last Part” has a written outline, but Naughty Dog has not yet started any form of work.
