Thanks to the player’s demo feedback, here are all the changes that will bring to the triangle strategy

Last week at Nintendo Direct, we introduced Square Enix’s latest HD-2 DRPG, the Triangle Strategy. In addition to the new trailer and March 2022 release date, we also conducted a feedback survey of players who tried the game demo and found that the title had changed.

Now Nintendo Release A complete list of changes made thanks to this research. Game producers Yasuaki Arai and Tomoya Asano said, “I am grateful for the many reactions from people all over the world, and as a developer, I am very pleased to receive positive feedback and suggestions from each region. “We are working on various improvements to the final version of our triangle strategy based on our responses to the survey …”

So, without any further effort, these changes are:

Main improvements

1) Loading time
  • The loading time during the event has been reduced, which is about 10 seconds shorter for the most notable scenes.
  • The purpose is to further reduce the load time by booting.
2) Event
  • In the debut demo, I had to go back to the world map after watching the event. The final version of the game will allow you to view a series of scenario events in succession, reducing the number of times players are sent back to the world map.
  • Autoplay and skip features have been added. Autoplay can be activated during an event using the ZR button and skipping the event using the + button.
  • Conversation log, event information review function, and character profile have been added.
  • The cursor speed on the world map when selecting an event has been increased. In addition, the character episode and side story icons are easier to distinguish.
3) Difficulty of battle
  • Added “Hard” and “Easy” difficulty settings.
4) Combat strategy
  • Camera controls have been adjusted:
    • You can now freely adjust the degree of zooming in and out.
    • You can now rotate the camera 90 degrees by quickly tilting the right stick.
    • Adjusted camera rotation sensitivity
  • By moving the cursor to an enemy within the attack range and changing the command, you can compare and evaluate the estimated damage rate and the correct answer rate.
  • “Simulation mode” has been added, and you can now check the estimated results of actions against enemies outside the attack range.
  • Weapon type icons are now displayed to make it easier to distinguish between enemy types and weapons.
  • Added highlighting to the target line extending from the boss character with a particularly powerful attack.
  • Hover over the enemy’s turn order to see the enemy’s turn order.
  • The order of units on the map is now also displayed on the AT bar.
  • The position of the command window during battle has been changed to improve visibility.
  • More options have been added for screen visibility, effects, and controls.

Other changes and improvements

  • Improved control of Serenoa in RPG mode.
  • You now need to press a button to get in and out of the house (to prevent accidental entry).
  • Adjusted the panel color when selecting a destination.
  • Added an icon to indicate that the back attack was successful.
  • Added the ability to automatically pause and create saved data every turn in battle.
  • Implemented gameplay tips while loading the screen.
  • Added a screen to display a list of deployable / non-deployable units while preparing for battle.
  • Added the ability to display a guide on terrain effects in combat.
  • Added the function to hide the button guide information at the bottom of the screen.
  • Added the ability to display the character’s final destination before using the character’s moving abilities.
  • The display of buffs and debuffs has been improved, and the effect of the number of turns of the object lasts.
  • Implemented the battle retry function.
  • Button assignments adjusted

The developer concludes:

“From these findings, users have high expectations for the game story, character personality, and systems for leveling up and improving characters in tactical strategy games. These are fully enjoyable in the game. It’s an element that wasn’t there. Debut demo.

However, in the final version of the Triangle Strategy, you can experience the events leading up to the intrusion and what happens after you make a particular decision. The story branches in many ways, with many unique characters entering the story. Please look forward to it.
