Marvel states that Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 will compare the tone of the game to the Empire’s counterattack and present fans with a “darker” follow-up to the previous two articles.
Talk about recent episodes of This week’s marvel Bill Rosemann, a podcast creative vice president of Marvel Entertainment, gave fans a quick insight into what to expect from Spider-Man 2.
“If the first Spider-Man game was Star Wars, Spider-Man 2 is like our empire,” Roseman said. “A little dark” Insomniac’s first Spider-Man adventure studio by exploring the secret identity and relationship elements of the character’s superhero, without leaning too quickly into some of Spider-Man’s cruder stories. It worked fine to set up the fans with Peter Parker’s take.
Similarly, the release of Studio Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a story about how teenage Miles seeks to establish himself and find a rhythm as a superhero to fans while Peter Parker is on vacation. Gave.
That doesn’t mean that neither character faces a darker element within their storyline, but now that both characters have established themselves, there is certainly room for Insomniac to explore further. The teaser trailer unveiled when Insomniac unveiled Spider-Man 2 at this year’s PlayStation showcase shows that in the sequel, Peter and Miles will team up to take on the infamous Symbiote villain Venom.
As Marvel’s villain, Venom’s desire for destruction and aggression suits Spider-Man 2’s dark story, but like Tom Hardy’s recent movie character adaptations, Venom is not necessarily truly evil. It is not drawn. Lifeforms can certainly create a much more sinister full-scale sequel.
Elsewhere in the interview, Roseman remained in a relatively tight tone when talking about Insomniac’s next Wolverine game, which was also shown in a brief teaser trailer at this year’s PlayStation showcase. “We will finally reveal when Wolverine will be available,” Roseman said. “For more information, go back and check out those trailers. Full of details and Easter eggs.”
