Rumorbusters: Has GameStop just released the “new Nintendo Switch”?May not

It is reported that Nintendo will announce a new model of Nintendo Switch any day now, so it is not surprising that some parts of the gaming community will skip any small information related to the new hardware.

One example is a new advertisement released by American retailer GameStop, which encourages people to use the system to make transactions in order to earn extra points for in-store consumption. Strangely, GameStop uses the name “New Nintendo Switch”:

Although many people (including ourselves) have informally referred to the rumored Switch upgrade as “Switch Pro”, “New Nintendo Switch” can be said to make more sense because Nintendo has already implemented its New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 2DS hardware. Use the brand to refresh.

However, in this case, it seems to be a bug in GameStop, rather than an accidental leak of the new variant. For example, the console is also called the ordinary old “Nintendo Switch” elsewhere in the advertisement. The ad also shows an image of the existing Switch. It seems that the “new” in “New Nintendo Switch” was accidentally capitalized, because when people replace old game consoles with “new” Switch, Switch Lite or Xbox Series X, GameStop here is offering in-store bonus cash/S system.

Another obvious reason to consider it as a grammatical error is that the promotion lasted from the 13th to the 19th, and today is the 14th, but Nintendo still has no official announcement.Of course, this is likely to change today or tomorrow, but we still height I wonder if GameStop gives any hints here.

Forbes Have indicated that they have spoken to the GameStop store staff and have been informed of the following:

Someone told me that many stores are receiving new goods currentNintendo Switches will be launched this Tuesday, so the promotion has nothing to do with the upcoming new models. So no, this actually doesn’t seem to reveal anything other than shipment refresh.
