Resident Evil 4VR acquired mercenary mode in 2022

Mercenary Mode will be available in Resident Evil 4 VR in 2022.

As mentioned in the Oculus press release, Fan’s Favorite Mode will be available as a free update later next year. Prior to the announcement, RE4VR was the only version of Resident Evil 4 that did not include The Mercenaries. Mercenaries are the first arcade-style mini-games to appear in Resident Evil 3 and are tasked with defeating as many enemies as possible to get the highest score before the timer expires.

In addition to the addition of mercenary mode, Oculus has also announced plans to add mobility and comfort settings to Resident Evil 4VR by the end of next year. This includes hand steering, better left-handed control, and options for fine-tuning the position of the chest and hip inventory slots.

Resident Evil 4 VR was launched last month and quickly became one of the most popular games on the Quest 2 headset. According to Oculus, Resident Evil 4 VR has become “the best-selling app in Quest history” based on total sales in the first week of its release.

The game has been well received and was nominated for “Best VR / AR Game” at the 2021 Game Awards. A review of Resident Evil 4 VR points out that it provided a fresh take for one of the most ported entries in Capcom’s popular survival horror series, even though the game didn’t have additional modes such as separate ways. Did.
