Random: Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max has more battery capacity than the Nintendo Switch

Apple has unveiled a new shiny fondre slab in its annual raft for 2021. Fairly slight Improvements, larger battery capacity, are one of the major enhancements across the full range of the iPhone 13.

On average, battery size jumped 13% compared to last year’s model. This means it’s approaching the battery size found on Nintendo Switch, but not on smartphones.

In fact, the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 16.75Wh battery means it’s better than the 16Wh rated Nintendo Switch power cell. The same battery is also available on the next Nintendo Switch OLED model.

Of course, other than a simple comparison of capacities, these two devices are doing so different things that there is little reason to set them up with each other. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is, first and foremost, a communication device, so it needs to be “on” all day long. On the other hand, Switch is a dedicated game platform, and there is no need to connect to a 5G signal tower. It’s also worth noting that the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a display with higher resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Oh, it costs a whopping $ 1,099 / £ 1,049.

Still, it’s interesting to note that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were Apple’s current phones when the Switch went on sale in early 2017. The iPhone 7 had a 7.45Wh battery, while the larger iPhone 7 Plus had a 11.10Wh version. This allows you to see how far your smartphone has come during the life of the switch.
