Race to Switch based on the Pinchcliffe Grand Prix, a hit Norwegian stop-motion movie

Developers Ravn Studio and Invictus Games have announced that the Pinch Cliff Grand Prix will soon be available on the Nintendo Switch.

The game is based on Pinchcliffe Grand Prix, Norwegian stop-motion animation, considered to be the most widely seen Norwegian movie to date. The story of the 1975 feature film will be re-told through racing and mini-game media and will be available on the Nintendo platform from November 4th.

You might recall that another movie-based game was actually released for the Nintendo DS in 2010. This new title is being billed as the spiritual successor to the game.

Also known as the Fl√•klypa Grand Prix. Pinchcliffe Grand Prix Is the spiritual successor to the PC and Nintendo DS hits, with over 380,000 copies sold in Norway alone. Beautifully recreated on Unreal Engine, it’s now undergoing a spectacular full 3D revival, sending Theodor, Sonny, Lambert and other villagers on an iconic adventure.

In the trailer above, you can easily see not only the story mode of the game, but also some of the different activities you can launch. I hope you agree that there aren’t really many games in the e-shop that look a lot like this.
