Halo Infinite’s multiplayer was released early today, but if you’re trying to play it now, the Steam version seems to be the only platform currently running the game.

Halo Infinite will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S in addition to PC, and you can choose to play it on either the Xbox PC app, the Microsoft Store, or Valve’s digital distribution platform Steam. At the time of writing, I can “pre-install” the game in the Xbox app or Xbox console on my PC, but the file size is about 200MB and it doesn’t seem to start properly.

On the other hand, if you want Play on Steam instead, You can install the game with a file size of about 26GB. I tested the Steam version and was able to easily participate in a quick match.

What happens when I try to play Halo Infinite

The Xbox has a similar blue screen issue, but restarting the console pushes an update to the hardware that allows you to bypass the blue screen and log in to Halo Infinite Multiplayer.

In addition to the Xbox hardware and PC releases, Halo Infinite will also be coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming, but at the time of writing, the cloud version doesn’t seem to be available (yet). Halo Infinite Multiplayer was released early and was highly anticipated following a technical preview, Official Halo account Fans should be “patient” as the team always tries to solve the problem.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer is currently available, but anyone trying to play a single player campaign will have to wait a bit longer when it’s released on December 8th.
