Kenichi Sato, President and CEO of PlatinumGames, will resign as president of the company after a five-year and eight-month term, replacing Atsushi Inaba, the current studio manager and vice president. A developer since its founding in 2007.

Mr. Sato will continue to serve as an advisory member of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Inaba made the following statement in conjunction with the announcement of his new appointment.

Create and deliver.

Create an innovative form of play.

That is the belief that PlatinumGames was founded.

It never changes.

Games are offered in different styles for different types of people. By their nature, they are a true expression of freedom. Thinking is free to get together to create an idea, extend it, and actually execute it. The real fun of the game comes from the freedom given to both the creator and the user. That’s why I believe games are such a great form of entertainment.

It has always been important for me to work on “fun” with complete sincerity. All of our staff are proud to be entertainers and always strive for the perfect balance between play and professionalism.

Creating a new fun game begins with the creator being able to enjoy the game on their own. Next, the creator needs to continually build the idea until something is obtained that conveys its playfulness to those who experience it. User care makes all the difference.

Our comprehensive goal of entering the vanity press hasn’t changed since its inception. Inventing something new and sharing it with people all over the world. This shows our integrity to creation at every stage.

People who speak different languages from different backgrounds all came together through the controller. I smiled at a new type of game.

It connects us and frees us.

It’s a job I’m very proud of.

As we move forward toward new challenges in the future, we would like to provide more and more experiences that all users can enjoy.
