Team Xbox is excited to continue to offer new ways to make Xbox better by improving the experience and providing entirely new features based on feedback. This month’s update includes a 4K dashboard natively rendered on the Xbox Series X console, Xbox night mode, quick settings, and more.
One way the Xbox Series X offers next-generation games is to use realistic 4K games. Prior to today’s update, the Xbox Series X dashboard, guides, and other menus have been upscaled from 1080p to 4K. We know that even when navigating the dashboard, players who look at the details and appreciate 4K wanted a crisp experience. We listened to your feedback and started testing with a higher resolution dashboard.
Starting today, players connecting the Xbox Series X to a 4K display will see a dashboard natively rendered in 4K. Experience 4K while browsing Home, My Games & Apps, Guides, and many other experiences. On-screen UI elements such as game art and buttons increase clarity and improve text readability.
Xbox Night Mode is a set of settings that adjust the light source to darken the room at night and support light-sensitive gamers. You can dim and customize the lights from the connected display, the power button on the controller, and the power light on the console. If you’re a movie fan, you can enjoy the theater-like darkness while watching your favorite movie!
In addition to dimming, Xbox Night Mode also adds a customizable blue light filter for your display. This feature is unique to the Xbox Series X | S console.
All of this customization works across Xbox systems, apps, and games and doesn’t affect performance, screenshots, or game clips.
You can also create a night mode schedule that dynamically switches between dark and light themes. You can manually turn night mode on and off, adjust to sunrise and sunset, and create your own schedule.
To use Xbox Night Mode to dim and filter the screen, or dim the console and controller LEDs, go to the following URL: Configuration >> >> Accessibility >> >> Night mode Also Settings> TV and display options> Night mode.
On the Xbox Guide[クイック設定]With the addition of menus, accessibility settings can now be accessed and customized quickly and easily. This allows you to quickly switch accessibility features without leaving your game or app. Sharing the console with others with different accessibility needs is also a great benefit for the family. You can use the quick settings to turn the feature on and off depending on who is currently using the console. This means that the whole family can easily switch settings to their liking.
