“No announcement” for Monster Hunter Rise PC Cross Save, but there is still hope

Research shows that Monster Hunter Rise players are looking forward to the final cross-play between Nintendo Switch and PC.

Capcom New survey As part of TGS2021 about Monster Hunter Rise and the newly announced expansion, Sunbreak. Part of the survey asks players for features that make the PC version of the game more attractive.

Possible options for the survey include cross-play between the PC version and the Nintendo Switch version, and cross-save or cross-progression with the Switch version. This does not confirm that Capcom is working on these features, but indicates that the company is assessing its potential. “No announcement has been made,” Capcom said in an official statement.

Monster Hunter World, the last major monster hunter title before Rise, was released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but never received cross-play support.

Monster Hunter Rise fans will see many new events at this week’s Monster Hunter TGS Showcase event, including a confirmation of the Master Rank for Sunbreak Expansion, the release date of the Monster Hunter Rise on Steam on January 12, 2022, and the 30th Anniversary Sonic Promise.
