Nintendo Switch N64 controller seems to be sold out until 2022

The Nintendo Switch N64 controller, released with membership in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, appears to remain sold out in the United States until 2022.

After being sold out soon after the release at the end of last month US Nintendo Store You will now see a notification that “more controllers will be available in 2022”. It’s not clear if that applies to the world, Sold out in the UK, The store in that area does not contain the same notification.

The layout difference between the N64 controller and Joy-Cons means that some N64 games released on Switch have anomalous button mappings that cannot be remapped at this time. In essence, players may find it difficult to play a subscribing game without the proper controller.

We asked Nintendo for comment on the lack of controllers.

N64 games have been added to Nintendo Switch as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. This adds to the benefits of the original Nintendo Switch Online service, N64 and Sega Genesis Games, Animal Crossing: New Halloween Happy Home Paradise. DLC-Although it’s a $ 30 annual increase.

Expansion packs, especially due to price and game issues at the time of release, are a controversial addition by Nintendo. Our own Nintendo Voice Chat podcast states that there are many requests for its N64 emulation.
