Nintendo Switch has now sold more than 20 million units in Japan

The success of the Switch continues. Nintendo has sold more than 20 million game consoles in its home country, Japan.

According to reports Faguang, Earlier on June 2, the total sales of the system exceeded the 20 million sales mark. The console was originally launched on March 3, 2017, which means that it only took more than four years to reach this milestone.

In addition, Famitsu also shared the latest situation of the five best-selling Switch games in Japan:

1. Animal Crossing: New Vision (6.78m)
2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (4.29m)
3. Pokémon Sword and Shield (4.05m)
4. Splatoon 2 (3.87m)
5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition (3.84m)

The latest global sales data shared by Nintendo last month showed that Switch has sold 84.59 million units worldwide. Of course, this number will be higher at this stage-Switch will one day surpass Wii and become Nintendo’s best-selling home game console.
