The Nintendo of America is devoted to celebrity appearances in recent commercials promoting Switch, but in Japan the focus is a bit less flashy. As with last year, advertising in the Japanese market emphasizes the fun of multiplayer with family and friends, with very compelling results.
Featured games include Ring Fit Adventure, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classic, Mario Party Superstars, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate When Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain.. I have parents and grandparents playing with their children, and of course friends playing online.
The trailer has a relaxed atmosphere and seems to be aimed at capturing a laid-back holiday or year-end atmosphere. Note that all the models shown are also standard and Lite units. This could be a deliberate decision until the time these commercials were shot, or because the company is struggling to keep inventories and meet the demand for OLEDs in Japan.
