Nintendo Life eShopSelects-September 2021

September was another terrible month for the new release of Switch eShop, and there were many new products worth your time.

These awards are aimed at celebrating the best of Nintendo’s digital stores, drawing love and attention to games that are often overlooked in Switch’s ever-growing library.

So let’s get started. This is the best Switch eShop game of September 2021!

Honorable Mention:

These titles didn’t make it to the top three this month, but it’s still worth checking out.

Forgotten City-Cloud Version (Switch eShop)Forgotten City-Cloud Version (Switch eShop)

the publisher: Dear villagers / Developer: Modern storyteller

release date: September 23, 2021 (USA) / September 23, 2021 (UK / EU)

The third spot this month was The Forgotten City, which appeared on Switch as a “cloud version.” This mystery adventure is a wonderful narrative piece with excellent writing, voice actors, and a truly fascinating story. It’s a great time loop game well presented, which is a very simple recommendation on other platforms, but cloud gaming naturally comes with risks.

If you have a strong and stable internet connection and don’t hesitate to have cloud-related technical issues (and some content that the game will disappear someday), gameplay itself is a must. .. Worth your time.

Eastward (Switch eShop)Eastward (Switch eShop)

the publisher: Chucklefish / Developer: Pixpil game

release date: September 16, 2021 (USA) / September 16, 2021 (UK / EU)

If you jump to 2nd place, you will find Eastward. It’s like a memorable Zelda, mastering a dungeon full of treasures, enemies and puzzles. In our review, we praised the game for a great experience, combining creative gameplay sequences, heartwarming emotional stories, and great art direction.

The only warning we have is that it can sometimes be a fairly slow-paced incident, but if it doesn’t put you off, we certainly recommend it. increase. And hey, so many members of the NL team are enjoying it, so they’re winning the second place on this list!

Castlevania Advance Collection (Switch eShop)Castlevania Advance Collection (Switch eShop)

the publisher: Konami / Developer: Konami

release date: September 23, 2021 (USA) / September 24, 2021 (UK / EU)

However, the first spot and the winner of this month’s eShop Selects award is the Castlevania Advance Collection, a collection of Castlevania games from the good old Game Boy Advance.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow and Vampire’s Kiss are all included in the bundle. To be honest, I think Aria alone voted for the top three in this game. Only sadness. The games have certain similarities, but I’ve found them so different that it’s worth checking out (or replaying if you’ve tried it before).

Also, it’s a steal that you can legally get the four old Castlevania games these days for less than $ 20, so download and join!

How to determine the top three eShop Selects: At the end of the month, Nintendo Life staff will vote for your favorite title from the list of games selected by the editorial team. To qualify for this list, these games must have been released as digital-only Nintendo Switch eShop titles in that particular month and reviewed by Nintendo Life. Select the target game based on the review score.

The staff is then asked to vote for three games that deserve to sit at the top of the list. The first option earns 3 points, the second option earns 2 points, and the third option earns 1 point. These votes are then aggregated into a top three list, with the overall winner winning the highest award of the month.
