Firesprite, a UK-based game developer recently acquired by PlayStation, is hiring a writer for the new story adventure AAA title.
In a job listing posted on their website, Firesprite is “looking for a writer to develop an ambitious unpublished AAA title.[.]The job requires the writer to “create a compelling character and story,” and the ideal candidate is somehow “understanding how to build a divergent story.”
Firesprite, best known for PS VR work, has developed games such as The Persistence and PlayStation The Playroom Experience, but Firesprite’s managing director Graeme Ankers has joined GamesIndustry.biz and is now on PlayStation. He says there is no guarantee that he will only work on VR games.
“Our philosophy is to really innovate and create on every platform, whether it’s VR or non-VR,” Ankers said.
However, Firesprite does not necessarily exclude VR, and Sony has confirmed that it is working with a new version of the popular PS VR headset to work with the PlayStation 5. Sony has also announced a new controller that comes with the headset. It is rumored to include a 4K display, eye tracking and more.
