One of the many delightful indie games on display at today’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase is Necrobarista-the last dump-, An anime-style visual novel from Route 59 and Coconut Island Games.
Described as “a story about coffee and death”, this story allows players to follow a group of characters as they sail through the fantastic Melbourne, taste the coffee in the city, and explore the suspicious necromantic morality as they progress. It has a soundtrack produced by BAFTA nominated composer Kevin Penkin, a fully 3D movie presentation, and it exclusively logs on Switch as a timing console.
In fact, Final Pour is an extended director’s cut version of the original game, including brand new story content and reworked visual effects. There is also a new “studio” mode in which players can create their own dialogues and stories, which sounds really cool.
At the time of writing, the game appears to have been launched on the eShop, priced at $21.99. If this sounds like your cup of tea—well, coffee—why not give it a try?
