IGN is pleased to exclusively reveal that the next character of Naraka: Bladepoint is Yueshan, a hero based on Chinese history.
Yueshan’s design has its roots in the Warring States period of China. Developer 24 Entertainment states that he is wearing lamellar armor and can carry the assaulting enemy on his shoulder to make a blow while defeating the enemy and piercing the floor.
Due to his ultimate ability, Yueshan can transform into a terracotta warrior and use a giant flame halberd to cut down enemies. You can see his actions in the trailer above. He cuts through his enemies, leaving a mark of fire every time he swings a pole weapon.
Yueshan will participate in the battle on Mors Island as part of a new season coming as Naraka on November 10th: BladePoint has sold 6 million copies worldwide. If you haven’t participated yet and this looks like a fight like you, Naraka: Bladepoint will be 30% off for a week from November 11th to November 17th.
Naraka: Blade Point-Yueshan Character Art
Naraka: Those who are already playing at Bladepoint are set to receive cool and unusual gifts, thanks to the ongoing support of recreating historic daggers. 24 Entertainment has announced that it will work with the Museum of Ancient Weapons of China to help restore the equestrian blade, a historic dagger with a horse head handle dating back to the Western Zhou dynasty. A major exhibit at the Pingyao County Wenhui Ancient Weapons Museum, this dagger is reproduced in-game and presented to players.
For more information, see Naraka: Bladepoint Review. In this review, we found that it was a “refreshing” take of Battle Royale, “a truly clever rotation of the familiar formula in this genre.”
