Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Expansion Includes New Hubs, Monsters and Locations-Tokyo Game Show 2021

Capcom has revealed many new details about “Massive Expansion” to Monster Hunter Rise, Sunbreak.

Announced at Capcom’s showcase at the Tokyo Game Show 2021, we took a closer look at the game cutscenes and learned new details about the monsters and places we visit. This is a huge extension for veteran rise players and will only allow access after completing the 7-star quest “Serpent God Death of Thunder”.

After completing the quest, you can take the hunter on a journey. Leave Kamura Village, the hub of the core game, and take it to a whole new location (not yet revealed). The eerie place we saw in the introductory trailer of the game was identified as a new hunting ground with the ruins of a castle that scales using wire bugs.

I also learned about some of the monsters involved. The Elder Dragon seen in the first trailer is called Marzeno, but other details are still lacking. It also shows the number of monsters returned from the old game, including General Ceanataur, who got his own trailer referral.

Capcom also announced that the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise will be released in January 2022. Sunbreak will not arrive until the summer of 2022, so it will be released for PC at the same time.

Sounds like an extended approach very similar to Monster Hunter World’s Iceborn DLC. In the 9/10 review, we called it the “True Beast of Expansion”, large enough to be a sequel in itself, adding many new monsters and places, and improving quality of life. bottom. I hope the sunbreak will follow.
