Metroid Dread amiibo function announced

In addition to the good news that Metroid Dread will be released on Nintendo Switch in October this year, Nintendo Direct yesterday also revealed the existence of two brand new Metroid amiibos-a new Samus character and the terrible EMMI

The presentation did not tell us how to use these numbers in the game, but since they listed their functions, it has now been revealed Game stop everywhere.

First of all, you can scan the new Samus doll to provide you with an extra energy box, which will increase your health by 100. After that, you can continue to scan her once a day to get health points. The EMMI number works similarly, giving you a Missile+ tank during the first scan, increasing Samus’s missile capacity by 10. From there, you can scan once a day to replenish your missiles.

These dolls will be released with the game as a double pack on October 10th-you will find pre-order options below. Pre-orders for the game itself can also be found here.
