Kung Fu kickball bounces on Nintendo Switch this holiday season

Well, what do you think when someone says “kickball”? Is it “children screaming and kicking face to face” or “what the hell is a kickball?” Well, if your companion, soccer is a beautiful game, kickball (also known as soccer baseball, or soccer rounders) is a little homely, but still a little cute cousin. Combining kickball and kung fu …

KungFu kickball! It is a match played in heaven that combines the best part of martial arts (kick) and the best part of kickball (kick). Or Nirvana, more likely.

KungFu Kickball has been described by its creator as a “casually accessible” game with a “high skill cap”, I like games like Super Smash Bros. and wish I had more Goku. I think. Let’s take a closer look at the game itself.

Dart head-on into an action-packed arena that combines fierce martial arts with high-speed competition. Play against your rivals, perform spectacular leaps, stunning steals, and powerful kicks to start kickball with your opponent’s bell. Strategically advance offensive and defensive play to betray challengers and kneel them in their respective circles of glory.

Tag one of the five fighters and compete in six different stages, all in individual kick styles. Interweave defenders with agile monks, attack from behind with dangerous assassins, and hit the competition with the fierce Monkey King. Master every angle and bounce against the ball and enemy teams with strikes, blocks and headbutts.

The animated style looks like a tear of joy to Genndy Tartakovsky. As one of five fighters, including Monks, Old Masters and Ninjas, you can play locally or online in 1v1 or 2v2 Arena matches. And there’s even cross-play across all platforms!

The KungFu Kickball will be released on December 2nd at the Nintendo Switch eShop and will be priced at $ 19.99 / £ 12.99 / € 15.99.
