Japanese rankings: Monster Hunter Stories 2 tops the list, but sales of debut novels are far from rising

Famitsu’s Japanese ranking data has been released until the week ending July 11, which shows that “Monster Hunter: Monogatari 2: Wings of Destruction” directly ranked first in the first week.

Approximately 137,676 physical copies of the game were sold in Japan in the first few days of its release, beating the equally popular eBaseball Pro Baseball Spirit 2021 To the top of that list. Although the number one result will undoubtedly satisfy Nintendo and Capcom, the sales of Monster Hunter Stories 2 cannot be compared with the sales of Monster Hunter Rise earlier this year-the latter sold as many as 1,302,132 units in the first week.

This week’s top ten are all made up of Nintendo Switch games, and the two newcomers are far ahead.
