Japan Chart: Metroid Dread Outsells Far Cry 6 to Claim Number One

Famitsu’s Japanese chart numbers are now in the week ending October 10, revealing that Metroid Dread went straight to the top of the mountain during its debut week.

Nintendo’s latest Switch Exclusive is Far Cry 6, Sold 86,798 physical units over the first weekend. For comparison, Ubisoft’s new first-person adventure managed sales of just over 50,000 on both PS4 and PS5.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! It also made its debut in the top 10 of the software charts this week, at number eight, and the rest of the orders include many of Switch’s biggest names.

With the debut of Switch OLED, the hardware charts welcome newcomers this week. As reported earlier today, we are off to a fairly modest start thanks to supply issues, but we are comfortably leading the pecking order. Here are the numbers for this week and lifetime sales in parentheses:
