Are you playing Genshin Impact and don’t know how to get the character you want? Well, you are in the right place. This guide describes the gacha system, sympathy, banners, currencies and more.
Genshin Impact is a gacha game that uses RNG. You may have seen this term spread by the community. This is an abbreviation for “Random Number Generator”. RNG is, well … an algorithm that generates random numbers. And these numbers are used to determine the outcome of a particular event. Simply put, I’m lucky, but it plays a big role in the gacha system.
Many would say that the gacha system is a controversial part of Genshin Impact. Often that’s what keeps some players away from the game, and for others it can be what attracts them. So what is it?
The gacha system is similar to the loot box found in other games. Players use currency to roll back banners in the hope that they will get the characters and items they need. This is where the problem exists for some people. It can be frustrating and costly if they don’t get what they want on a continuous basis.
Have you ever played Genshin Impact?
Gacha games are famous for their very low rates of 5-star characters and weapons. In particular, the impact of Genshin is 0.6% for 5-star items and 5.1% for 4-star items. However, to answer the player’s concern that they will never be lucky, Genshin Impact includes a sympathy system.
The unfortunate system exists to sniff out a bit of uncertainty from the gacha system. Basically, after a certain number of rolls, players are guaranteed to get high rarity items. In Genshin Impact, this item is a 4-star or 5-star character or weapon. Genshin Impact’s sympathy system works as follows:
The above shows the number of rolls required to obtain a hard sympathy, or guaranteed 4-star or 5-star character / weapon. There is another type of piti called soft piti that starts on the 75th roll. This is where the chances of getting a 5-star character / weapon begin to increase.
Compassion is passed from banner to banner. So if you roll 75 times before new banners drop, those rolls will be taken over. Note that this only works if you are rolling the same banner. Character banners and standard banners do not share the same sympathy. They work separately, and this also applies to weapon banners.
Now you may be wondering about the different types of banners. Well, that’s the next topic we’re working on.
Banners are categories that you roll using currency. The content of each banner is slightly different, but the difference is the key to ensuring that you get the characters you need. The first banner described here is a standard banner.
Standard banners are also known as permanent banners. This is because the included weapons and characters do not change much.
The Genshin Impact standard banner includes the following characters and weapons:
This banner also includes 4-star and 5-star weapons. This banner is the most random of all, so it is generally not advisable to spend all roles on this banner.
Now we are talking about good things. This banner is the place where most people roll because it contains a limited number of characters and a “rate up” for that character and other 4-star characters. Rate-up means that you are much more likely to win that character than a character who is not rate-up.
Limited text banners typically include:
The Limited Character Banner also has a 50/50 mechanic, which guarantees that if you don’t get a limited character as the first 5 stars, the next 5 stars you get will be a limited 5 star character. Please note that this only works with this banner.
If you need a great weapon for Genshin Impact, try this banner. There are usually two 5-star weapons and some higher-rated 4-star weapons.
Weapon banners include:
If you want to know the details of each banner and what is currently available, click the details button below the in-game banner to see the weapons / characters you can get from the banner and their percentages.
Genshin Impact has many currencies that can be used for banners. There are Primogems, Destiny, and Genesis Crystals. First, let’s talk about Primo Gem. These are the most important of all.
Primogems are the most basic but most important currency of Genshin Impact. You can convert Primogems to fate and use it to roll your favorite banners, but be careful not to waste this currency as it has been hit by drought. Through quests, events, daily commissions, and spiral abyss, you can naturally acquire the Primo Gem of Genshin Impact. There is also a monthly subscription called the Blessing of the Welkin Moon, where you can earn a certain amount of primogems per day for 30 days, but the price is $ 4.99.
There are two types of fate in Genshin Impact, intertwined fate and fate of acquaintances, and each fate has a specific banner that can be used. Intertwined fate is used in exclusive character banners and weapon banners. On the other hand, the fate of acquaintances is used in standard banners.
To get fate with Genshin Impact, convert primogems,[ショップ]You’ll need to access Paimon’s bargains on the tabs. Paimon’s bargains offer the fate of minor currencies called Masterless Star Glitter and Masterless Stardust. These can be earned by rolling in any banner.
Genesis Crystal costs real money at Genshin Impact. You can also convert to Primogems with a 1: 1 value, but not the other way around. In other words, once you convert a Genesis crystal to a primogem, it is irreversible. You can also use Genesis Crystals to purchase character costumes.
Some Genshin Impact characters can be obtained for free just by playing the main story. Some are available free of charge for a limited time during special events. Here’s how to get (currently) free characters at Genshin Impact:
Characters determine the flexibility of team building at Genshin Impact and the type of content that can be cleared. However, knowing the best character to roll at Genshin Impact is also a great way to avoid wasting valuable primogems. If you combine all of these, you can spend a smooth time at Genshin Impact!
