Halo Creator Offers Halo’s Gorgeous Glance with Unreal Engine 4

Halo co-creator Macus Lehto let fans see what the original Halo: Combat Evolved would look like when it was launched in 2021. imageCreated using 3DS Max and Unreal Engine 4, it features the Master Chief, Warthog, weapons, and the iconic Halo ring itself.

Lehto also showed off a shot from behind the chief, showing that the chief’s lower right foot contained an initial Easter egg.

Lehto was Bungie’s longtime art director who developed the original Halo trilogy, as well as Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. Lehto was the director of Halo Reach. He later formed V1 Interactive and released the FPS title Disintegration in 2020. The studio was closed earlier this year.

Recently, Lehto used Twitter to showcase the original Halo’s unused weapons assets, including microwave guns and particle beam rifles.

This is a big year for Halo fans. It’s been less than three months since the launch of Halo Infinite, the next entry in the series from 343. For more information, check out the Halo Infinite multiplayer impressions from last weekend’s test flight. You can also see a detailed interview with Lehto. Lehto talks about everything about Halo.
