Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Nintendo Switch Update Now Available, Here’s the Complete Patch Note

Following weekend updates on other platforms, Rockstar is now Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy-The Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch live.

On all platforms, there are some switch-specific fixes and a variety of common fixes. These are the current versions of each Switch game as of the November 23 update.

  • GTA III: Version 1.0.3
  • Vice City: Version 1.0.4
  • San Andreas: Version 1.0.3

Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy-Definitive Title Update Note 1.02 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch)

General – All Platforms

  • Fixed multiple localization issues
  • Fixed multiple instances of missing or inconsistent conflicts
  • Fixed multiple instances of holes in the map
  • Fixed multiple instances of inaccurate or misplaced textures
  • Fixed multiple instances of camera clipping through an object
  • Fixed multiple instances showing incorrect subtitles
  • Fixed multiple instances displaying incorrect help text
  • Fixed multiple instances of misplaced objects
  • Fixed multiple instances of cutscene character model issues
  • Fixed an issue where multiple instances of an audio line were skipped, delayed, or repeated

Grand Theft Auto III – Definitive Edition

  • Fixed a blurry camera cut and transition issue in Grand Theft Aero cutscenes
  • Fixed an issue where the Pay’N’spray door was closed and players couldn’t enter
  • Fixed an issue where game stalls and props would jump into the Gone Fishing cutscene
  • Fixed an issue where players would fail the mission The Thieves with the message “Thief’s Dead” after playing a cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue where Asuka would fall off the boat and the mission’s last request would fail.
  • Fixed an issue where GPS routes were missing when driving Curly Bob in a taxi during mission Cutting The Grass
  • Fixed an issue where the damage meter was not displayed correctly in the mission escort service
  • Fixed an issue with map holes that would allow players to access Stanton Island faster
  • Fixed an issue where Claude was floating in the cutscenes of Mission Big’n’Veiny
  • Fixed an issue where the character model was not animated during the mission Luigi’s Girls cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue where the character model was not animated during the mission Give me Liberty cutscene
  • Fixed an issue where players could speed up execution by quickly swapping weapons
  • Fixed an issue where cutscenes during a mission would start and fade to black before resuming again during the mission Sayonara Salvatore
  • Fixed an issue where the game would crash when entering the vehicle after completing a triad war (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One)
  • Fixed an issue where the achievement “Destroy Evidence” would not unlock after completing a dead scan on a trunk mission (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One).
  • Fixed an issue where language setting changes were not retained after a reboot (Nintendo Switch)

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Definitive Edition

  • Fixed an issue where the player was unable to rotate the camera up and down when driving at high speeds
  • Fixed an issue where fire truck lights would flash inconsistent colors
  • Fixed an issue with GPS route display during mission Autocide
  • Fixed an issue where the Pay’N’spray door was closed and players couldn’t enter
  • Fixed an issue where multiple GPS routes were displayed during missions Gun Runner and Psycho Killer
  • Fixed an issue where the hit rate UI was not displayed correctly during the Mission Gun Runner
  • Fixed an issue where pedals would not display correctly in the cutscenes of Mission The Chase
  • Fixed an issue where Tommy Vercetti’s character model would be in a T-pose during the In the Beginning cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would crash when switching from TV mode to table mode during the loading screen
  • Fixed an issue that caused the prompt “Error: Insufficient video memory trying to allocate texture!”. While exploring the North Point Mall (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One), make sure your video card has the minimum amount of memory required. Try lowering the resolution.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would pop out during a cutscene on the mission All Hands on Deck (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One)
  • Fixed an issue where language setting changes were not retained after a reboot (Nintendo Switch)

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas-The Definitive Edition

  • Fixed an issue with rain visual effects
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would rotate quickly when exiting or failing the Blood Bowl
  • Fixed an issue where the camera wasn’t properly positioned when returning to gameplay after finding a Sweet in the mission Reuniting the Families.
  • Fixed an issue where the bridge in Flint County was not visible
  • Fixed an issue where players could equip weapons while swimming. This can cause problems with weapons passing through the character’s body.
  • Fixed an issue where swimming help text was not displayed correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the results screen was displayed at the start of the bike school – Jump and Stoppie
  • Fixed an issue where gray pedestrians would appear around Willowfield and Playa del Seville.
  • Fixed an issue where pedestrians would appear partially translucent in Just Business cutscenes
  • Fixed an issue where legal text was not displayed correctly
  • Fixed an issue where the Enforcer Light did not blink
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn’t kill Paul and Masser before triggering the Mission Don Peyote cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would restart from the beginning when choosing to retry from the last checkpoint of Mission High Stakes, Lowrider
  • Fixed an issue with invincible enemies in Mission Loss Desperados
  • Fixed an issue that caused incorrect reversal controls when swimming underwater when set to on or off
  • Fixed an issue with the aiming sensitivity of the Pistol Ammu-Nation Challenge
  • Fixed an issue where Sweet was killed prematurely during the mission The Green Saber, blocking progress.
  • Fixed an issue where the help text wouldn’t disappear and would block the increase in muscle statistics in the gym
  • Fixed an issue that caused incorrect times to be displayed when collecting rings during a BMX or NRG-500 challenge
  • Fixed an issue with camera warpage during In the Beginning cutscenes
