Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR Announced at Oculus Quest 2

At Facebook Connect today, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Rockstar’s classic open-world game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be featured in Oculus Quest 2.

The VR port footage isn’t visible, but Oculus Quest 2 has no objection to porting a classic game and reimagining it for VR. Oculus has previously worked with Armature and Capcom to bring Resident Evil 4 to VR.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas tells the story of CJ, a framed man who returned to his old San Andreas neighborhood to save his family in a fictional Southern California city.

Like other Grand Theft Auto games, San Andreas is an open world game where players are free to explore San Andreas and its surrounding areas. Facebook didn’t reveal details about how this open-world story would be transformed into VR.
