Beach vacations are a long-standing tradition in anime, and Genshin Impact’s 1.6 update focuses on beaches, blue skies, and pristine waters. The developer MiHoYo, known as Midsummer Island Adventure, added a series of event tasks, items, clothing, and even a new character. There are a lot of primordial players gnawing their teeth like juicy salty watermelons. Let’s take a look at some of the new content available today and in the coming weeks:
Most of the playable content revolves around islands and archipelago, exploring events that are only available for a limited time. This new story tells that Klee is a member of the Favonious Knights. She received a message from a person named “Dodo-King” whose purpose was to catch her precious companion, whom she called a souvenir of Dodoco’s mother.
Qualification for the new area requires players to risk level 21 or above, and complete Klee’s story mission “Clover Chapter: Act One-True Treasure”, and the Archon mission “Prologue: Act Three-Dragon Song and Freedom”. In this new four-part adventure, travelers will sail on a cannon boat called Waverider, sailing between a series of islands lurking with danger and fun.
While fighting and competing through a series of sea and land islands, these new events will bring new challenges, such as the mighty enemy Magu Kenki. This opponent wields multiple swords and can summon phantom enemies to join the battle. MiHoYo warns that it prefers close combat, so be prepared for an intimate melee.
Since this is a beach trip, this new update brings some summer-themed themes to the existing characters. When buying 1,350 Genesis crystals (the regular price is a discount of 1,680), Jean can wear her new “Sea Breeze Dandelion” suit. This costume is permanently available in the store. On the other hand, Barbara’s “Summer Shine” seasonal outfits can be purchased using the Echo Conch from the Island Adventure Collection. 1.6 After the update event is over, you can get 1,680 Genesis Crystals in the store.
In addition to sailing and dressing up, players can also come into contact with the first playable character in Lightning Nation. The silver-haired swordsman Kaedehara Kazuha was dressed in autumn clothes with flowing sleeves and dark red trousers with bulging knees. Decorated with red and orange leaves, it is a bit out of sync with the summer theme throughout this update. Kazuha, who possesses Ameno elements, is described by MiHoYo as “a versatile fighting style, but will also provide buffs to teammates in some cases.” He can use the power of the wind to push and pull enemies. His elemental burst “Kazuha Slash” can cause initial damage to multiple enemies and leave a storm behind, causing more damage over time. It will not be available immediately, but will be available in future event wishes within the 1.6 update time frame.
In the Midsummer Island event, there is also a chance to get exclusive four-star catalysts Dodoco Tales, Northlander Biller Trove and furniture blueprints. All these and more items can be obtained by trading shiny floats and mini “Harpasta” to suppliers. Most importantly, the event wish “Epitome Invocation” will last until June 29. This includes increasing the drop rate of various weapons and catalysts. A small selection of examples included are the five-star Claymore Skyward Pride, the four-star event exclusive bow Mitternachts Waltz, and the four-star long pole Favonius Lance.
This is a lot of things, and there are more things to look forward to, including the “Legend of Wandering Sword” event held from June 25 to July 8.You can check the patch notes for update 1.6 for more details HerePlease keep in mind that many of the content in this update is only available for a limited time, so please take the risk as soon as possible. Wish you get your wish and enjoy the summer vacation of Yuanshen version.
