Former Tango Gameworks developer Ikumi Nakamura is working on a sequel to Gungrave

During the Tokyo Game Show 2021, Gungrave GORE publisher Koch Media introduced a new gameplay video and announced that Ikumi Nakamura was involved in the development of the game.

The first half of the trailer is dedicated to the scenes of the Gungrave sequel movie, while the second half shows the actual appearance of the game, including scenes showing gunfighting and swordsmanship.

Gungrave Gore is the latest in the 3D action game “Grave” series. The title revolves around Grave, a former mafia member who once died and returned after being revived by surgery. In exchange for losing his memory, he gains a stronger body and, as a result, can accomplish superhuman feats.

In the trailer, Grave was seen unleashing a stylish attack against a large number of enemies. According to the trailer, the tomb can be attacked using a combination of guns and swords, and by kicking enemies.

Publisher Koch Media has announced that Ikumi Nakamura, who previously worked on The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo at Tango Gameworks, is involved in the development. Nakamura’s role in Gungrave Gore has not been identified, but more information seems to follow.

“This Gungrave GORE collaboration was a valuable experience for me,” said Nakamura. “Playing the original Gungrave has brought back a lot of precious memories. We can expect more updates and other news in the future!”

Gungrave GORE is developed by Iggymob for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC.
