Dying Light 2’s vast open world

February 4, 2022 is getting closer and closer, and now is the perfect time to jump into the city and learn a little more about the large open world of. Dying Light 2 Stays Human.. Vildor is full of secrets, memories and complex characters. Today we’ll take a closer look at where to find some of them and how to bring the city back to life.

Before the apocalypse, Vildor was a beautiful and modern place. It’s gone lately, but you can still find elements that regain its former glory. Many of them, such as subway stations, TV towers, and railroad tracks, have stopped working the way we know them. Instead, people adapted these locations to their current needs and turned them into bases and escape routes. So, if you look at the city’s infrastructure with just a little creativity, you may see how this new reality is changing the meaning of the places around you and replacing old features with new ones.

And it’s not just buildings that people adapt to. To regain this sense of normality, they are also trying to recreate the lifestyle they previously knew. Look around you and you’ll find people trying to get dating apps back without technology, opera singers trying to find themselves in all the rubble, and more unique people. And if you dig deeper … you might discover an original piece that shows what Vildor used to be. Old papers, records, books and personal letters are scattered all over the city, waiting for you to tell your emotional story.

But it’s the past and it’s always good to know it, but your main focus should be the future. During your journey, you will be able to restore some of Vildor’s old luster. And your choice determines not only the landscape but also the functionality. Repairing an old substation around the city will make the electric traps work again, making it easier to navigate (thanks to the lights in the shops and vents) and easier to fight. You can then hand over the area to either a peacekeeper or survivor faction and watch them turn the roof ruins into facilities such as schools, farms, and workshops. Each faction has its own goals and aesthetics, so this decision actively shapes the panorama of the city.

And, of course, your heroic adventures come across so many ears that if you stop and listen for a moment, you’ll be amazed at how familiar their story looks.

While exploring the streets of the city, explore the sounds. Our interactive music accompanies you throughout your journey and adjusts itself to what you are doing and where you are going.
