Dark Pictures Season 1 Finale, My Announcement of the Devil

The final video of The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes, recently released, reveals The Devil in Me, the “Season 1 Finale” of Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures Anthology. This reveals that the series will be divided into seasons, as well as what will happen to the next game of anthology.

The trailer you can see in the tweet from The Hunters above reveals my devil’s grotesque bullying, which appears to contain a murderer who creates a mechanized automaton from parts of the human body. This suggests that The Dark Pictures Anthology’s next game may not be as supernatural as its three previous games, all with ghost / monster-type enemies and themes. What we may face in this next game is something in the Saw realm that focuses on the twisted human hitman.

The trailer also states that “the devil in the devil” is the “season 1 finale.” I already knew that The Dark Pictures consisted of eight games, but it looks like those eight are split into at least two seasons. It’s unclear what this means in the next four episodes, but it’s possible that there’s a long break between the 2022 release of The Devil in Me and the unknown fifth game.

A review of the House of Ashes said it was Supermassive’s best horror game since Until Dawn, a game that solidified its reputation as a great horror developer.
