We will continue to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Xbox in July with an epic Xbox FanFest Halo 3 virtual tournament, a new Xbox fan kit, double points in Xbox Game Pass missions, and more!

FanFest Halo 3 Championship

Find a friend and enter the ladder to engage in uninterrupted 2v2 public matchmaking with teams of all skill levels. Fight for a chance to win some prizes of US$25,000 and show your skills to the world in our weekly live qualifiers and series finals. Play on Xbox Series X, which is our fastest and most powerful console Xbox Series S ever, with next-generation performance on Xbox One or PC, our smallest console ever.

This contest is open to all Xbox FanFest fans in North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico).To enter, log in or register And opt-in on the Xbox FanFest Exclusives page (notes: Only North American residents will see this exclusive).After opt-in, you will receive an email with a registration code to complete the tournament registration

We invite everyone to watch. The weekly qualifiers will be broadcast at 11 am Pacific time on Sunday (7/11, 7/18, 7/25). Don’t miss the series finals on Saturday, July 31 11 a.m. Pacific time. Listen and follow channels on

game format

  • The pairing ladder is open for 2 days every Friday and Saturday to earn points.
  • The weekly qualifiers on Sundays are played against the top 8 teams on Friday and Saturday in the double elimination rounds.
  • The series finals will be held on July 31st, and the top 16 teams this month will play in the double elimination rounds.
  • Every day there will be a set of different maps and game types that players must download to participate. (Look Learn more under “Game Type”. )
  • An in-game playlist will also be launched on July 7 for players to practice.


Ladder Tournament: Friday and Saturday (7/9, 7/10, 7/16, 7/17, 7/23, 7/24)

  • Ladder open: 2pm Pacific Time / 5pm Eastern Time
  • Ladder closed: 7 p.m. Pacific time / 10 p.m. Eastern time

Weekly qualifiers: Sunday (7/11, 7/18, 7/25)

  • Weekly Finals: 11 AM Pacific Time / 2 PM Eastern Time

Series ending (7/31)

  • Series final stand: 11 AM Pacific Time / 2 PM Eastern Time

How to qualify

Ladder competition

  • Open to Xbox FanFest fans in North America.
  • Players compete for the top 8 in the form of points at the end of each day.

Weekly qualifiers

  • Every day the top 8 teams (16 teams in total) advance to the Sunday qualifiers.
  • Week 1: The top 4 teams at the end of the group advance to the series finals.
  • Week 2: The top 4 teams at the end of the group advance to the series finals.
  • Week 3: The top 8 teams at the end of the group advance to the series finals.

Series ending

  • The top 16 teams that advance from the weekly qualifiers will compete in the double elimination rounds.
