Animal Crossing: It’s permissible to think that polishing, one of the new features introduced in New Horizons’ Happy Home Paradise expansion (which is quite a bite), looked a bit … duff. After all, why do you want our furniture to shine?
When we first unleashed our ability to polish, we thought the same. For the first few days (or home design), the polish feature did just that: things shined. And we don’t necessarily I want Glittering things.
But after starting the design of our twelfth house, we were given the whole catalog Polishing effect — and we made good use of them for this feature. Here are all the polish effects and some ideas on how to use them!
When the fourth home is complete, you’ll see a little cutscene about how Wardell loves to polish things in Happy Home Paradise. In the fifth home design, Nico will teach you how to do it yourself!
Add effect to furniture! Whether it’s adding sparkle to something shiny or raindrops to something you want to look like dripping, you polish and live your home and your villager’s home. Can be infused.
When you’re in the house-yourself, your villager, or a villa in Happy Home Paradise-you can press the L-shoulder button to switch to polishing mode and put on your polishing gear.
From there, walk to the item you want to apply the effect to and press A, or hold down A to increase the effect. This may cause more particles to appear, or it may simply make the particles larger or faster.
Walk to the item again and press A or Y!
While designing the design for the 12th house (only 2 after the letter arrives after the 10th house), Nico teaches all the remaining 13 polishing effects for a total of 14.
It has 14 effects, each adding different particles to furniture items of all sizes, from coffee cups to the moon. There are all these and some suggestions on how to make them work.
Add a small white glow to the item that glitters like a small white star. Use this to make things like crystal balls and gold look pretty or magical.
Make a small heart appear and emerge from the item. You can use this to make an entire room Unbearably Hearts come out when you need them, or if you want to surprise your loved ones with a heart-shaped chocolate box.
Rotate the rotating blue spiral up around the item. I’m not sure what this helps.
Some sort of Star Trek key “Beam Me Up, Scotty” effect makes things look like either vworped To the spaceships, or as they are falling.
The effect of dripping things with water. Use it in a rainy room or to make the laundry look dry.
This gives things a “bokeh” effect, which can make something look very nice. To be honest, the fuzzy bab effect makes everything look good.
An eerie cursed effect that can be used to make it look like a portal to places you absolutely don’t want to go.
Make things steam. It has great effects for a variety of purposes, such as making a steamer, making a sauna / spa / bathroom look like a toast, or making a New York sewer real unpleasant.
Generates a cold mist from the object. Great for haunted houses, refrigerators, and generally cold and / or spooky stuff.
Adds a cracked lightning effect to the item. Mad scientists and torturers will love this as well.
Some purple rays pop out of the item, indicating that it is clearly stressed. Is your item emphasized? Let the world know with the stress buzz effect.
The bobble shock effect, which is the kind of effect used in anime to show that someone is nervous, surprised, or scared, is like afraid of furniture with bold, jagged blue lines. I can show you.
Allows the butterflies to fly around the item.Great for the garden, or just decorate the house Adorable.
A balloon appears above the item as if you were talking. The more you polish, the bigger the foam and the more “persistent” it becomes. If you feel lonely, why not talk to your furniture?
Best effect of the secret: Highlight any of the above effects and press X to replace the particles with the design of your choice. Even better, create something special for the purpose you need, like this:
